The Fox & Hounds team have successfully restored the establishment, earning a beloved place in the local community, attracting visitors from the nearby private hospital, and becoming a staple on the itinerary of tourists to the area. Our journey has led us to secure the freehold of the business, allowing us to realise our dream of developing further and serving our patrons better.
Our soul lies in our menu, crafted with attention to detail and passion. Our chef, Gareth, weaves magic into his creations, offering hearty and flavorful dishes that champion local and seasonal produce. From homemade chips to pastries, sauces, and puddings - everything is freshly prepared onsite. Our food is accompanied by a well-curated range of traditional ales, craft beers, local gins, and fine wines.
Our premises are comfortably divided into a public bar seating around 30 patrons and a dining room with a capacity of 70 seats. We strive to offer an evolving menu to match our customers' changing tastes and expectations as we grow in popularity.

In the summer, the passing holiday traffic and ferry travelers see us as a welcome pit-stop. We also benefit from the Carmarthenshire Showground events and the supportive Werndale private hospital, the largest employer in Bancyfelin.
With a strong local following, we are proud to be the only pub in Bancyfelin, a village of 800 people. We're just a stone's throw away from the larger village of St. Clears and the market county town of Carmarthen, home to 35,000 people.
